effyoo
This is a very nice way of putting into words a feeling that has been prevalent in my way of thinking for quite a long time. Guest BROWNer
have you ever thought about how everything is completely nothing? it's like a dichotomy, one side is reality(the mass perception), the other side is real 'reality', which is that none of this makes any sense, none of it matters, there is no knowing. that's my cue...bed time. As i was reading all that..i was thinking about cage's picture...greyscale...there must be some tonal area that matches the 12oz background..still it doesnt appear as a 'hole' in the picture...word. VAITOMANOCU
john cage is ill...there's this one john cage piece where they start off with a turntable and they take the top off and use the needle as a really sensitive microphone and just use all types of objects to make sounds, and it becomes this long drone...it's kind of hard to explain, but i wish i knew what the name of that piece was. Guest BROWNer
..is that good or bad? i'll look it up later.. one of these days i want to get reading philosophy. you up on that shit vanity? recommendations welcome..
Vanity
not really good or bad... just an observation. though i tend not to agree w/ it personally... basically it's the sensory world (formal reality) and the mind (objective reality), and he works that into a form of dualism called interactionism.... but the thing is, he has this circular logic to prove the existence of formal reality that depends on God, and he then uses that reality to prove the existence of God. as far as recommendations... depends what you're into... Camus is probably the most reader friendly (he won the nobel priz for literature), but you can't really appreciate his arguments w/ out prior knowledge dealing w/ empiricism and such
DISCO BRYSO
everything can be reduced to poetry. the poetry of hypocrisy. learn to be your own police officer without needing to hide behind your badge and gun. god exists. because existence is god. heaven on earth and earth on heaven.
