Alright so here is my pride and joy. my 1991 caddilac deville. recently my fucking wheel fell of and there for i broke my fucking fender, so i fixed the wheel and replaced the fender. but now i got this nasty grey fender on my whip. SO this means im getting a new paint job. so your job is to give me suggestions on what kind of paint job i shall get. im thinking about getting it straight jet black. but im hoping that you all can give me some good suggestions on something else. im not looking for some gay hotrod flames either so lets get creative.

In the words of Seen "Ain't no way, ain't no way I'm doing black here, we gonna make it pop out..."

If you get black it will make your shit look old. I would say a light colour would be best, especially on a car with that shape, the lighter the beter, even white. Cream would be clean. As a matter of fact is the body divided because I could suggest you some I'll two tone shit if youre looking for that. Like light light baby blue up top and cream on the bottom. Or cream and khaki. Or, oh my I've always wanted one of those coupe devilles. Rootbeer brown would be money also. Maybe even a bright color, red with silver flakes or maybe a mint green. Do not go to maaco, even if you buy the 1200 dollar maaco job you will get fucked, trust me I know from experience. Go to a reputable body shop and pay the extra money. What color is your interior?

If you want any more combos let me know...

i hate hot topic hotrods.

anyway...

i dont know what your budget is but heres my 3 cents

-your car is stock, so dont get too flamboyant

-black with a nice few coats of clear will look tits,

just dont get it sprayed at a bargain paint center, youll regret it

-i would definately stick with a dark color

-if you want to add something extra to black i would suggest a pearl

a yellow pearl would be my choice

atleast on black

I have to disagree, dark colours on big cars don't work. They make it look too square, if you're interior is black, maybe, but I'm still saying go with a lighter scheme...

dark colors rule shit

they are sleek and show every single line the car has

definately not for the weak

light colors make everything look too damned big

and pretty much hide the lines of the car

making it look like a blob

the only light color i would paint that car would be an ivory pearl (think escalade)

just because its a nice caddi color

although it does require some maintenance

i would not go with a wild two tone or some loud color

seeing as how the car is stock

windows look to be tinted so you good there, then all you need is a system and some rims and you'll be collar poppin' in no time...

Ain't no way.

Maybe on an escalade or a cts, but on an older model caddy its all about the light colors. The lines are old school, you don't want to point every one out, they look like a blob because they were designed like a boat. Its all about the khaki and cream... Period.
