Confederation Bridge

This 8 mile long bridge connects Prince Edward Island to New Brunswick (Canada). It is the longest bridge in the world to span ice covered waters. There is ice covering straits 5 months of the year. A special design was made to accommodate this, the bridge designers developed a 52 degree conical ice shield located on the pier shaft to break up the ice. This ice shield actually lifts the ice flow up so it breaks on its own weight.

Construction of it, the crane on top are big as fuck, like those types normally are, but the bridge makes it look tiny.

Steve: Fuck yeah, Calatrava crushes like there's no tomorrow... all of his shit is incredibly elegant and redundantly stable. That's what you get when you're so unbelievably good you can fully be both architect and engineer of your project.

Alka: Hahahahahaha, good ol' Teodoro and the $1.75 toll to cross it.

DOPEST BRIDGE EVER

On select occasions, you can find me on a tiny boat in that pond fishing for tarpon and getting absolutely hammered on Budweiser and Medalla.
