breaking all the rules

These rules people come up with are really gay. I say paint over the numbers and Fuck the rest. If toys can't get up in a hot spot and you can, you've won. I did it and I'm still painting that spot. I've painted that spot when it was the chill'st spot and when it was the hottest spot. I've painted there for over 7 yrs. even after some fr8 legends (some writers that have been writing over 15 yrs) came into my spot and got busted over some stupid shit. If I told you who they were I garuntee every one in the US, Canada, and Mexico would know who I'm talking about. But I'm not in the habit of naming names, and if i did the cops would be knocking down my door. bottom line is I started graff to get away from rules and defy the odds. If that's not why you're writing, I would question if you are doing it for the right reasons.

Ten Commandments

in tha hip hop scriptures

I. Thou shall not bite.

II. Thou shall not side bust

III. Thou shall not make spots hot.

IV. Don't go Over my piece(but i can go over yours).

V. Dont go Over the Numbers.

VI. Don't buy your paint with a gold credit card.

VII. No Shameless self promotion

VIII. no Painting other peoples spots.

IX. leave good box cars for good writers.

X. Toys Go Home!!

I have compelling arguments against most of these rules, except for #1. The main argument here is like I said above is " i don't like rules." I am going to paint any fr8 I want, any time, any where. So writers beware, I did my thing and there's more to come. If you want to follow a set of rules why are you doing graffiti? Don't get me wrong, I have a lot of respect for people who been in it for a minute. but don't for a second think that I am going to stop breaking the rules just because some body wants to front on me because they don't like what I do or how i do it. Now What?!?!?

:king:

the usurper of this complete lack of comedy obviously listens to new metallica or some other diluted watered down bullshit.

just bored an this is kind of funny

1 - bite good graffiti - dont bite recycled west coast unreadable wildstyles and think your the cats meow. nothing letterwise is new under the sun. if you think you invented it, chances are someone else has done it in the last 30 years.

2 - use the caps thet you are most comfortable with

dont turn up your nose because you do a crisp neat piece with custom caps. making clean pieces is not hard and does not make you fresh when you use custom caps

3- sidebusting is just gay problem with this is you will never know if the guy sidebusted you or there was only one car in his spot. my rule of thumb if there is only 1 car in the spot and it has a piece on it already...go over it. and if you must paint on the same car with another writer, please paint the other pannel..i dont even paint lover pannels with my own friends.

4 - spots belong to the writer who painted there first

that dosent mean noone else can paint there, but just dont paint there and do dumb shit that will heat the spot. this is really plain old common sense. people who lay and wait for kids in what they consider "their spots" really need to find a girlfriend, or some good porn and lotion. there is more to life than gatekeeping your silly little freight spot.

5 - fuck what you heard, internet self promotion is gay

no matter how you slice it. its just gay gay gay!. get up on trains. you dont see sigh, or onorock or mber here posting fliks of their shit. becuase them and hundreds of other kids actually get up. fuck the internet. its amazing how many writers i see up on 12oz a whole bunch, but when you go the the bench you never see them running. thats gay. i would rather not be known at all than to be known as an internet writer.

6 - if you think you are a king, most people probably dont think you are[b/] self confidence is a driving factor in the minds of most writers, and thats good. but calling yourself a king is also gay. when other people you dont know call you a king then thats when it counts.

7 - there is no such thing as old school freights

sure there are older generations, or pioneers, but freights arent even 20 years old yet. writing 5, 6 or 7 years does not make you old school. old school is fools like braze, espo, su roc and fools from the mid-late 80s. and this "G" word...please, you niggas saw menace to society too many times.

8 - style is concrete the main idea behind style is originality. style means that someone knows your style even if they cant read your piece. a bunch of squigily lines and euro colors and german thin caps dosent automatically make you stylistaclly superior. like i said, doing a decent piece with euro paint and custom caps is not really difficult.

9 - pieces go over pieces while im feeling you on the whole rules thing, i think there are rules that are just common sence and have been around since the beginning. dont get all salty because you spot the numbers of a car you painted with a different piece where yours used to be. its just evolution. but if you must go over another piece, make it respectful, dont leave half the guys piece hanging out from behind yours. its tasteless and it makes your piece look bad.

10 - play it safe

read that yard saftey thread, dont paint under the influence...well dont paint on live lines uti, cause im guilty of that, but just be safe and conscious of whether you are at a spot where you can potentially be picked up off the tracks in pieces.

this is not really true in my book. i know personally soo many heads that used to hit freights waaay back in the the like late 80's to early and mid 90's that had somewhat of a legacy by some, but you can't really say that because nobody really smashed the freights back then to get fame like they did today. there were hardly and burners or much less anything running so when somebody did a hard burner and you saw it that was probably the best thing or one of the only things that you would peep on that train. nowadays everyone just wants numbers and fame, and they forgot about just having fun and getting up with your boys..AND FORGETTING ABOUT THE OLD SCHOOL HEADS. SOME RETIRED BACK THEN, AND SOME CAME BACK FROM THE GRAVE, AND SOME ARE STILL ALIVE. much love krowten, you might not agree, but just see the other side of things too.

painting over the numbers and heating up the spots on purpose instead of for a lack of knowing any better is an idiotic thing to do. not only will it fuck your town's yards up, itll make the railworkers more aware on the rest of the line and other spots. just not a good idea and another rule i think most of you forgot.

.... dont paint, or tag near your yards or layups. when the tag on the train thats brand new matches the utility box thats a few feet down trackside, its a dead giveaway. ive been trying to regulate on this in my town as much as possible.
