ubejinxed
since everyone else was posting their trips and pics i thought i would too. i recently returned from Brazil, Rio de janiero during carnaval. I must say it was a good time. for all the ass men here i highly recommend going there. the men are all no-so-fabulous and the women are, and they all wear nothing! the dress code for copacobana was bikini only. i swear!! and there is nothing to the suits either. a couple of well placed triangles was about it. here's some of my snapshots. http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/angra_frompatio.jpg'> http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/sunset_corcovado.jpg'> http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/cityview_sugarloaf.jpg'> http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/angra_beachview2.jpg'> http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/parade_greenpeople.jpg'> for the boys http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/parade_nekkidgirl.jpg'> and i just had to add this, this is my new house!!! isn't it great! http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/house_downstairs.jpg'>

ubejinxed
http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/corcovado_side.jpg'> naw i live in the states, i just like to leave a lot. the house is my new house in the continental 48. but u'r still welcome to visit. my boy is brazilian he has a place there but..... they speak some english. but u don't really need it, they were very friendly, and eager to show us around. like tease said, it could be a positive thing to be a tourist. "u can show me around" or "will u show me the good places to visit?" or anything of that nature. i know how to say "caipirinhas?" that's all i needed. the drinks are super potent, i swear like 2 knocked me on my ass

Guest blood as ink
ever since i was little i've had a weird obsession with brazil.it just seems mysterious to me.something about it is just appealing to me.i don't know why.i know the cities are dirty as can be.i know the forests are beautiful and amazing...something just grabs me about it. i don't get it,but someday i will go there. ubejinxed
well the beaches are pretty nice i'd say, not dirty not gross. we stayed in copacobana most of the time and the swimming was fine. the city itself wasn't so bad either. not any worse than a major US city. here's some more pics for ya'll i took 3 rolls so. http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/angra_rightview_rock.jpg'> here's copacobana beach, which is close to downtown http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/copa_beachsouth.jpg'> during carnaval there were a lot of street parties. they would just set up speakers in the middle of the street and people would start dancing and continue drinking. http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/bandaipanema_band.jpg'> the carnaval parades were crazy. this particular float had a metal ball in the middle and two motorbikes inside riding around in it. i don't think u can see it from the picture but i have never seen anything like it. http://www.original-art-4-sale.com/brazil/parade_bikefloat.jpg'>
Elmo_Hope
blood, the cities are just cities...just like nyc or whatever...not exactly the same but my point is dont go thinking its a certain way. the US is a lot worse, but with a lot of countries, such as brasil, americanizing...well its just sad when i hear that some english vocab is being used on TV and that people are starting to use some english. you wanna destroy a culture, make it use another language other than its own. i wonder what its like now compared to when i was there 10 years ago
