Guest BROWNer
well whatever the cost, i'm too broke and that thing is haunting me now. what the hell is a ur80 control sufrace?
MrChupacabra
I agree wholeheartedly. For the beat making, i've heard good things about Garageband, but i've only seen it used for a short period of time and never personally used it.

Vanity
yeh, fruity loops 'll do the job. i dunno.. i'd suggest doing a search, but i don't think there's anything more than like a month old. personally, i'd say, if you have the loot, get a sampler. other programs for you to research (no idea if they;re on mac) acid cubase reason eerr.. i can't remember thw other once... got bought up by aol, i think. i use sound forge, acid, and fruity loops.. i have faced some constraints,, but i've been too lazy to get anything else. Guest porksandwich
I would go with Reason. Fruityloops is total shit compared to reason, in my opinion. The only thing is that it's kind of demanding on your system. My friend just picked up an Edirol controller and has it syncd up with Reason. It makes it that much more useful. I used to have a Yamaha RM1x and this old ass Korg drum machine... but alas i had to sell them because i needed money. I wish i still had them now.
