That thread he made with those three old dudes having sex was over the top and his subsequent banning was well deserved. However, despite the stomach turning aspects of his sexual depravations, people still flocked to his threads much like those wanting to see the gruesome aftermath of a savage auto collision. It's a testimony of sorts to an individual who drew a crowd solely on the disgusting nature of his life experiences real or imagined. Guest diggity Posted November 5, 2003 Share Posted November 5, 2003 I usually send a warning out before banning someone but alot of different things play into it. sometimes its based on how offensive the subject is, how annoying they have been, the purpose of the post, etc. If its something i find offensice and i know it was put there just to piss off other users, then they get canned. another thing that usually falls into the light is the user's general worth and what they bring to the board. But is there some sort of favoritism that transpires on this site? Does the amount of posts one have dictate the amount of "get out of jail free" points one has? Suppose ILoveUnicorns had 3000+ posts, dropped insightful and witty stories, advice and news in addition to his psoriacis/perveract stories. I'm not saying that link he posted was o.k. It made me sick. But just in general, are the odds of one getting banned for a specific outrageous comment, story or link lesser with greater status under one's belt? I can attest to the fact that Europe wanted to have me banned just because I thought Bumfights was funny. There was an obvious clash of interests when i told him I thought humor at the expense of others was permissable but isn't it a little much to pull out the threat of banishment for something like that? Isn't that kinda like drawing an M-16 down on a mouse in your kitchen? "Throw that bitch in the pond foo!!" Posting Bumfights is funny cause it fun at the expense of others is not a bannable offence. I made the JOKE of saying how about I ban you, that would be fun at your expense. Making the point that fun at other peoples expense is not necesarily funny... especially if its on your own expense.
