anyone know a good tutorial or book on basic networking?

    Im talking like a good book or books that explains the specifics of analog neworking, IE Voice cahnnelss, phone systems// and then the basics of LAN/WAN/ATM and what not. I just want to get a basic understanding of these different methods of networking so i can then apply it to the whole of how this shit all fits together...

    oh yeah and preferably ones that are at barns and noble... :cool:

    any book covering the network + exam should cover every thing your looking for....i would recommend sybex books in particular...

    yeah the box sites rule just do a search from there and why your at it check out
    linux is a great os they even have a linux install you can do on a floppy
