I think there's no such hing as an aloe vera plant... there is an aloe plant, and perhaps even a vera plant, but no aloe vera plant... except the plants that manufacture the creams...

Ive got this green pepper plant in my room that my ex gave to me, but it's suffered so many mishaps I fear for its survival. Broken window shades snapped about half of it off, my roomate didnt water it as he promised while i was out getting hammered in PR, and now it's fallen prey to some sort of disease... Shit's got this cobwebby-type crap all over it with white clumps of thing. I don't know what to do with it now... Beer,

first wipe off the shit, then take some dish soap and water mixed in a spray bottle and hose down the plant and wipe it off again... ta-dah! healthy plant!

if it comes back there is another "nest"... seek and destroy...
