    saw it last night in the theatre, it was fucking dope. the detective story is the best one.

    we got in for free.

    and we got free sour patch kids too:)

    From the four free ones, I thought Detective Story was the weakest. The whole film noir thing didn't translate well, and anime falls short when trying to present drama-and-dialogue heavy scenes. The idea is damn neat though.

    I need to see the remaining 5. Now.

    "Beyond" by Koji Morimoto definately outshined every one of the other short films by far. Concept, originality, story, animation, etc: it was absolutely outstanding and I would recomend watching the entire movie just to see his short. He was also on the original AKIRA team and did some shorts for Katsuhiro Otomo's MEMORIES.
