Angry Femme Bands of the nineties

Believe it or not there were once upon a time some very good female bands that got the crowd going just as good as Slayer and Pantera. The females in these bands weren't very good looking but what they lacked in looks they made up for in actual talent and the ability to sing AND play an instrument in a competant manner AT THE SAME TIME!

Wow, who would have thought.

So, without further ado... some of the better riot grrrlll acts of yesteryear...

L7 were so bad ass. i went to a bunch of their shows and never walked away without at least a few bruises.

aside from being one of the angriest acts i ever saw at Lollapalooza, they also had the coolest album cover of the day

That chick from Arch Enemy. She scares the hell out of me......

Dude, she used to be a cop as well...*On a side note my friend saw tiger army a little while earlier and said Davey Havok from AFI did guest vocals. He looks like a girl.

i'm surprised they were even mentioned! but if we are talking about the nineties, it would be fitting to say california lightning because that was their name before erase errata.

i used to work with the lead singer jenny.
