Guest SaddamInsane
The American media doesn't tell us this, but the fact is that the United States of America's "war on terror" campaign against al Qaeda has utterly failed in Afghanistan. Here's why: America has failed to reach all of its goals, including: 1. Capturing and/or killing Osama bin Laden, leader of al Qaeda 2. Capturing and/or killing his right-hand men 3. Capturing and/or killing Mullah Mohammed Omar, leader of the Taliban 4. Eliminating the Taliban and al Qaeda presence in Afghanistan In the meantime: 1. The Taliban and al Qaeda continue to mount guerilla attacks on American forces, inflicting casualties and bogging them down 2. Al Qaeda terrorists continue to successfully mount successful attacks on U.S. interests and her allies' interests around the world 3. The resistance and hatred against America in the Muslim world has grown even more since the U.S. mounted its so-called "war on terror" campaign. 4. The puppet-government that the Americans set up in Afghanistan is on the brink of collapse, and with coordinated al Qaeda and Taliban attacks, it will only be a matter of time. Guest PAYROLL
Congratulations on your second consecutive dumbass thread! The US was not defeated in the war in Afghanistan. Their primary objective was not to capture bin Laden, but to overthrow the Taliban and create a new, democratic government in its place. This objective was completed in under a month with only nine American lives lost on the frontlines. You asshole.

This objective was completed in under a month with only nine American lives lost on the frontlines. You asshole. Overthrowing the Taliban and creating a new "government" was only part of the goal. The focus was an all-out retaliation for the al Qaeda-sponsored attacks on 9/11. The Taliban were protecting al Qaeda and giving them a place to base themselves. The primary goal was to get the Taliban to turn over bin Laden and other leaders and terrorists operating in Afghanistan. They didn't, so the Taliban was overthrown in response. But the Taliban wasn't directly responsible for 9/11 -- it was al Qaeda, whom America has been unable to defeat. By the way, there were way more than 9 lives lost. Try close to 40. And the casualties continue to rise. You also forgot to count the casualities the Arabs inflicted on the battlefields of New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania. So try more like over 3,000.
