*** FOR PC ONLY (cause I'm a lazy bitch) ***
--- sorry about the images.. I am having problems.. so just click em. ----

For all those computer nerds that are bored and tired of your pooerific AIM's here's some help...

First you'll need a fun helper program called Resource Hacker:
    It's very legit, please believe.

    Getting Started...
    1) Open Resource Hacker
    2) Go to File: Open: AimRes.dll
**(This file should be located in C:program FilesAim...)
    3) MAKE SURE YOU MAKE A COPY OF AimRes.dll as AimResOriginal.dll incase you f-up.
    4) Hopefully a menu of files popped up to the left. Basically you'll want to fuck around and see what they are and where they lead to, but I'll help you out a bit...

    Next the modifications...
    Modifying the "AIM Connecting" window
    1) In order to save whatever modifications you make, you must make sure that you DO NOT HAVE AIM RUNNING.
    2) Now, with AimRes.dll open.... click Sting Table
    3) Now click 15
    4) Now click 1033
    5) You'll notice the contents of "1033" on the right in text form.
    6) Now you can edit lines 226, 227, & 228... but make sure they are not TOO long. Remeber to stay within the quotes.
    7) When you're done click the Compile Script button.
    8) Unclick all menu icons that were open (15, String Table, etc.) This will save confusion.
    9) Click Dialog
    10) Click 104
    11) Click 1033
    12) The text will appear to the right AND a window will pop up displaying the Dialog-104 box.
    13) The first "CONTROL" line will read:
    CONTROL "Connecting...",
    14) Simply change whatever is in the quotes and you have your new AIM CONNECTING window.

Remember to File: Save or you'll have to start over!

Let AIM rip and have fun...

I didn't like Trillian. I don't use any of the other IM tools like yahoo or msn. I have enough people to talk to as it is. I got AIM+ also, I think it's good.

If you go check out their website they have a list of some cool stuff that will be in the next version.

    Good tutorial Rage.
