Additional Lenses For Digital Camera's

Discussion in 'Channel Zero' started by imported_Tesseract, Nov 19, 2003.

  1. I was wondering if any of you guys has a tele or wide lens for a photo or video camera. Are they any good? do they worth their money?

I'm thinking of getting this one for my digi:

    1.7x Telephoto Converter.

Now, can anyone explain what 1.7x really means?

My guess is that on a 5x optical zoom camera you can reach up to 8,5x
    does that sound correct?

ive got a screw on wide angle, and tele-photo. mine retailed for about 100 each, but i know you can find alot cheaper, just as decent ones.
anyway, 9/10th's of every photo i take is with the wide angle on it.
    best money you can spend.

    go for it.

Hmmm.. do you need a special digital camera to attach these lenses to? I'm wondering if I could get a wide angle for my Canon S30.. that would be sweet.

does it have a threaded lens barell? if you can screw something onto the end of the lens, you can add a wide angle.

    good to see you back.

    seeks/oh, i notice alright

You know, I don't believe it does. It's a shame, cause it's such a sweet camera. Thanks man.

i have this a pretty shitty clip on fisheye lens that i bough from my friend for $15...i just use it on my digital video camera for fucking around while skating and such.

But when searching for lenses, make sure to search around, lots of places will try to really rip you off.
