im bored out of my fucking skull here peoples. so heres the deal (inspired by AFI's 5 songs......but not for each week.) Pick 5 movies and give a short description why each one kicks ass. the only rule is that they have to be non-porn.....for obvious reasons. and if its a movie that people have actually heard about its better i guess. so like.......no movies you made yourself or something at some art school.

 

 

movie the fifth: Belly- because im going to live the life of a hustler one day and i needed a guideline. plust the filming is fucking incredible and they have a short part of gummo in it.

movie the fourth: Boondock Saints- although im not much into religion, i can respect peoples spirituality and whatnot, but even without that this is a really well filmed movie relating to spirituality and redemption, plus its quite humorous and well filmed. go boondock saints.

movie the thrice: Death to Smoochy- the only movie i ever thought highly enough of to see more than once in theatres, funny as a limbless retarded child rolling around smacking into things. edward norton is a very talented man, as is danny devito from time to time, so is robin williams, superb cinematics, awesome dialouge, fucking great, i laugh every time i watched it and as soon as it comes out on the 17th im watching it many times.

movie the second: American Psycho- Funny as hell and on point. sarcastic. great filming. keeps my interest every time. and i can watch paul allen die over and over and over and still laugh. i've seen this probably 28 or so times since i bought it. great movie. if i ever get banned from here, ill be back as "Patrick Bateman" or something.

movie the first: Fight Club- ok, this is where Tyler plays into the completely predictable part of this post and picks fight club for number one. right? right. i love this movie. words cant even describe. The book is just as good, all of chuck palahniuks books are good. superb filming, edward norton is again very talented, great all around movie on alot of levels i think.

I love black and white films, but this takes it to another level. Made in 2001 and directed by the Coen brothers, TMWWT makes you feel like you are back in the late 40's.

I'm not too good with explanations, so I appologize in advance for the crap below.

 

5 - Harry And The Hendersons

One of the first movies I remember enjoying when I was little. I guess this is just for nastalgia. Either way, I think it fucking rocks. I mean c'mon, a big foot living with humans!

 

4 - Pleasantville

I really didn't know what else to pick and I watched it last night so whatever... For me personally, it shows a nice conflict between a perfect black and white world where I would like to live and the colorful world that I need as well. I really don't know how to explain it. I suck.

 

3 - Jaws

I used to want to be a marine biologist when I was little and was always fascinated by Sharks. Maybe if I followed my dreams I'd be somewhere today, like on a boat looking for a shark....

 

2 - Back To The Future

As you have noticed by now, I really am no good with explanations.

 

1 - Rad

2. the lovemachine - good mockumetary indy movie bout a guy startin up a sex personals website... had me fooled into thinkin it was a documetary.

3. sweetest thing- who wouldnt love a movie that has a girl singing Aerosmith's "dont wanna miss a thing" while having a cock stuck in her mouth

4.casino- kick ass mob movie. joe pesci is badass in this one.

5. 187- good and suprising outcome

theres so many movies i havent seen.......but have been meaning to get to.....scarface, full metal jacket, all of the godfather's, snatch......i'll get around to it though.

 

american history x, seven, shawshank, goodfellas and many more are all on my "honorable mentions" list of movies. its so rare that a really good movie comes out nowadays.

love and a 45{kicks ass,zelwegger looks great}natural born killers{sick ass movie loved it trippin ,see somethin new everytime i watch it}office space{great comedy its one i can watch over and over}demolition man{it so cheesey its great,love the "mini tunes"sly and snipes nuff said}fast times at ridgemont high{its a classic}........oh and resvoir dogs is one kick ass movie...

1.) Dawn of the Dead- My opinion the ultimate movie- only Romero has the talent to mix action and horror without it coming off gay like some stupid movie made just for action figures.

 

2.) Mystery of Chessboxing- Yes it is an amusing old kung fu movie, but it really struck a cord with me after I saw it and it was 5 bucks on canal street so...

 

3.) A Clockwork Orange- Great Movie, Even better book.

 

4.) Death Wish 3- We all have a little "I don't give a fuck if I shoot this guy" Charles Bronson attitude in us all. And with the Death Wish series past it's prime, all kinds of ridculous shit happens like Bronson ordering missle launchers throught the mail and and a gang member named "The giggler" What the fuck gang would call on of their heads "The Giggler"?

 

5.) Scarface- yes a very popular movie, but it relates to me because I don't trust anyone and I dont have any friends- Everyone thinks im an asshole.
