thanks joker...I will have to get some road races on video. I only have mtn bike videos at the moment, that will probably not go over to well with my room mate. I can see myself now....trying to jump my bike while on the trainer falling over still locked into the pedals.lol. one more question. does anyone use touring bars? they came on my bike and I guess sometimes there fun to use but they do get in the way. I have a cannondale ironman 800 which is a touring bike...but my area has allot of hills and I find myself not using the bars all that often.

does anyone use a trainer? I bought one yesterday, its a cycleops. really nice and since its getting cold here I figure it would be a good workout for the snowboard season and also spring when I can get back on the bike.

yeah it has a carbon fork...I just have to watch the road better. rode as if I was on my mt bike, not worrying about stuff on the road...until I hit the first crack. that woke me up real quick lol. it has touring bars...do any of you use these?

picked up my new bike thie weekend....oh yeah! got a cannondale ironman 800. its a sweet ride. but now after my first 30 miles on it I cant walk lol. not used to these wheels either, way different than my mt bike. every crack in the road felt like I hit a pot hole. nice bike though and real fast

so i'm down to three bikes. the specialized allez elite 27, cannondale r600, or a cannondale ironman800. the ironman is looking pretty good though. and ideas?

do you think that geting out on your road bike, and just taking a long ride is a good stress reliever? I think it will be good to get out after a long 9-5 day at the office.

I was at my friends bike shop yesterday, they have a nice selection of lemond road bikes. anyone have any good or bad info on these bikes?

Cool thanks for the info, I'm going to head down to the shop today and check some bikes out. One more question....I currently do not ride clipless peddles. Are they a must for road. I just dont like the feel of them, but everyone tells me I'm better off with them.

I've seen cycle cross, its looks cool. I might get into that. So hows the weight factor of a road bike? I know that for mountain biking I like to ride a light bike. Is it the same with road bikes. Do steal bikes weigh allot?

well for now it will be for training, but I want to get into racing eventually. is there a big difference with aluminum? Thats they only type of mounatin bike I ride. thanks for the feedback so far.

I have a friend who works at sobe. They have connections with cannondale. I can get a real good deal on a cannondale road bike. Does anyone have opinions on these bikes? I've been racing mountain bikes for years but just getting into road bikes. any helpful info would be appreciated.
