You know what I've noticed that makes the Koze stuff stand out more than other writers... Obviously the sheer amount of work, but also, notice barely any work is the same. The styles are always changing, trying new things out. Koze is like snowflakes, you never get the same one =) haha, but honestly that's what keeps it fresh. Other writers are legends for getting up, but almost always have the same style for long periods of time. Think of that on top of the amount of paint being useddd too....wordddddd.

Yes that's the best advice so far.. I've learned the hard way, but now, like others have stated, please know you're area, wear a glove for christs sake, don't leave your paint, cover the numbers and have a different color shirt underneath and you're good to go. Ohh and don't go when you're on drugs enough to impair your judgement... and if you do get caught and it looks like they'll at least listen to you for a second. Tell them you're an art major and are trying to go over gang and horrible tags with real art. Tell them you're respecting their area and have done what I listed above. Say you're honestly a good kid and really have no other place to express your art and that you respect them as hard workers. Even tell them if you hate what I'm doing, I'll be happy to paint back over in the original color.. If all that fails, then punch em' in the junk and runnnn!

Thanks yeah gonna play with this a little more for future stuff. The stars on the sides suck dick though. I was on ambien and passing out at the end of it, so caution to all you kiddies. Don't try to write on ambien, you won't get very far at all.

I don't understand why anyone would admit their a toy to begin with. It oozes a horrible self worth level right from the start. Now I've been away from this scene for a while, but back in my day, a toy was someone that sucked and was a disrespectful little bitch. A toy wasn't a new comer or someone just starting out. This is where I've lost some of this post, because a person should just do their work and if you're good.... you'll become better with time. If you suck, no ammount of help will make you're style something true to yourself.. You'll just be learning what not to do and what others think is cool. To be the real deal with this thing, you need to do what you feel inside and not what others say is cool. Everything will look the same as some does if everyone just tries to be like the other.. What's the point in that.. ??? Cutting edge new dope shit is done and made by artists that have it in them.. .You have it or you don't.. This isn't a job where you are taught how to do it..... So first you all have to stop calling yourselves toys and start believing in yourselves.. That will help more than any ammount of critique.

Give them your paint next time and say I'm really sorry I ran from you, I thought you were a gang that was going to beat me up, but I realized later you just wanted my paint. PS don't carry any sort of gun or weapon, you'll get in more trouble in the long run. Speaking of long run, I'm sure you'll have to do that agian if you see them =) Good luck !

People are still talking about graff, because there are new cats coming into it all the time, so the topic of discussion will always be new to some, even if it's old news to you. I'm an old ass dude now so yes I've talked about this millions of times before, but all the new kids need to explore too and us washed up old farts that still write on shit need to find a purpose =) My conclusion and why I do it, is because it's fun and looks dope... That's it =)

I like most of it for your own personal experience with graff, but I think many have different reasons why they do it. There is this part of it called "art" that people feed off of and the rush part is only the main staple to those that like bombing more than burners. I don't hear you talk about art in any of your writing, so don't you think that's a huge part in the graff culture ? That brings me to think that there are three different main personalities in graff. 1. The new kid that watches others and wants to be like them, plays the video game, ect. These kids are doing it because they think it's cool. They'll be out of it as soon as they get in. 2. The vandal: This kid is all about fucking shit up, because he's mad at society and maybe some of the qualities you've mentioned in your post above. The vandal has some respect, but I'd say is more in it for themselves and the rush, personal gratification of destroying property. 3. The artist: This guy preferes advancing in the artistic side of the scene, will do legal walls and not think it's pussy to do so, maybe is scared to do or doesn't like the vandal side of the scene as much, but likes the overal culuture. Then you have everyone that has each trait of all three of these mixed to a certain degree.. I think many have all these mixed, because the majority of us love bombing still, love fucking shit up, but also we have limits you know. We don't go to each and every doorstep of someones house to pain on their door, we don't really do churches or on peoples cars. We don't do it on many person properties of people, but when it comes to other properties of the city or big business, it's a different story. These limits of vandalism means that even if it's subconcious, we all have a code we go by in graff to some degree. This code shows respect to the deserving of respect which means the vandal and the artist meet somewhere down the line, creating you... So my point is that there are many reasons people get into it and it's good to question why you do something, having conviction with passion for graff is what is needed if you are planning on doing it forever. Also obsessive compulsive disorder may play a part or may increase in people over the years from writing your name over and over millions of times. But hey let the weak fall and the strong become kings.....
