  1. Also, I messed around with some light painting in my garage awhile ago, when really bored. Here are the results. If you want to know more about what I used just ask.
  2. I got bored and made another pinhole camera. This time I used a pinhole I got via ebay, it's machined, so it's perfect. I used a soap box for the camera: Only one frame from a test roll came out--didn't expose long enough for most of them. Here it is--some books on a shelf and a Viewmaster: I've almost finished off a second roll of film in it and will post anything that came out that's interesting.
  3. Haven't posted in here for awhile. Here's another double exposure, one exposure redscale, the other normal C41: The redscale exposures ended up being upside down.
  4. I don't remember if I ever posted about my zine in here. Mostly freight graff, monikers, interviews, but also a bit of my non-graff photography, with contributions from a lot of benchers. I just got done with the 3rd issue, available here (all three are still available though): http://strangepulse.bigcartel.com/ Latest has interviews with snafu, aware + kuhr, leroy drown + savage land, forge, jeske amfm, and a couple of railroad workers. I'm pleased with how it came out.
  5. I did a double exposure with slide film, one exposure being redscale, one not. I underexposed the redscale too much though and it barely shows: I have other rolls I still need to develop. I've also done some double exposure exchanges with Flickr contacts, where I shoot the roll once and then send it to someone who shoots it again. I also tried doing camera obscura in my house, but my backyard is pretty boring, so nothing very interesting got projected on my wall. I put the RR sign out there just so there'd actually be something in my yard. I also tried putting a pinhole over my digital camera (a Nikon 1). I liked the results best where there was all kinds of light leaks: Once I had it taped up good it wasn't as cool. Another experiment I'm working on now is modifying an old box camera to use 2.25x3.25 sheet film. I kinda ran out of steam on it, maybe this thread will get me going again.
  6. Haven't been on here in a long time, nice to see quality stuff still being posted! Here's my fave pic I've taken recently: Holga shot using film that expired in the 70s.

    Utah plus

I haven't posted in here in forever. I haven't really done that much shooting since moving to Utah, not like I used to. It's either too hot to go anywhere or nothing worth taking pictures of. But here's some since the last time I posted. Places in Snow Canyon: Gunlock, UT: Frozen lake in April, last spring--just beginning to thaw: Sand Hollow water resevoir: Abandoned houses in Modena, UT: Over Under wheat paste on a closed down bowling alley in Hurricane, UT:
  8. I don't know if I've really posted about my zine in here yet. Second issue is available now: http://strangepulse.bigcartel.com/ First issue is still available as well. It's mostly train graff photos, but also includes some of my non-graff photography. It's packed full of stuff. Not something you flip through in just a few minutes.

    Utah plus

Thank you! This is at the Red Cliffs Rec Area near Hurricane, UT: I'll probably post more pics from that area soon. Beryl, UT is another modern day ghost town. I'm not even sure you can call it a town, there's only a couple farms, from what I saw. And a few abandoned houses: Need to get back up there when it's not below freezing and take more pictures. Pinhole shot of a petroglyph: This is in Nevada near the Valley of Fire:
  10. Does your point and shoot give you manual exposure options?

This is Sand Hollow State Park. A water reservoir. You can boat and dirt bike here (there are dunes--orange dunes). It's in a town called Hurricane, which the locals pronounce "Herkin." I refuse to call it that. You've got a town with the best name ever, and you're not going to say it right? Taken with a Nikon V1 (which I just picked up used really cheap).
  12. Thanks! I went back to that location not too long ago, and there's a security guard there now. I think he's bribable, though, haha.

    Videos

Are you a film student? I've only messed around with train graff video clips for fun. I don't really know what I'm doing. You can see them here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/whenigodeaf/tags/video/ EDIT: Actually, there are some non-graff videos, if you want to see what southern Utah looks like:
  14. This thread is so awesome I feel kinda lame posting anything to it. A couple digital point and shoot shots from a recent trip to Seattle: My husband and son in the Seattle Public Library. There's a section in the middle of the building that is entirely red, it's pretty awesome: Holga shot of the tabernacle in St George, UT (where I live now): There's a hiking trail near where I live that takes you up to a cliff covered in ancient petroglyphs: This is several exposures using a half-frame camera to make a panorama. On the right you can see some petroglyphs of animals.

    Cameras

Glad you liked the zine. Those cameras look heavy.
