  1. No one asked you to hold one neighborhood in higher regard than another. i was merely illustrating how you made a basless attack with no information behind it. You want to make hate spewed rant directed at what you deem hipsters be my guest. But that's not what you did, you attcked people who you knew nothing about and generlized who they were to conform with your own notions. here let me try this, maybe you'll understand. Everything you said, you feel that same way about say Futura?
  2. First of all homie, Most of the people you're blindly putting on blast have toiled in the scene since the early 90's for little loot, support and fame. Russ, A-ron, etc, etc weren't born into money and worked hard to get to where they are in the industry. And deny it all you want, but you do sound like a bitter outsider. Why?? because 90% of what your shit talking has no basis in fact. You don't know any of these people, who's who and why they are where they are. ALL YOU DO IS ASSUME AND SPEW HATE BASED ON THOSE ASSUMTIONS. Get some facts if you want to pull cards. secondly... how the fuck does Williamsburg play into this? If you had half a clue you'd realize that 90% of these people have been LES fixtures for well over a decade. And Thirdly, get a sense of humor! I can't believe anyone sits there taking any of these anticts or bravado seriously. It's all tongue in cheek and self conscious .
  3. Yo Raven, I'm interested in those Supremes. I don't have anything to trade in an 11-12, But I'll pay you for em, or include some clothes as a trade? PM a price.
  4. I see sketchers has changed their name now have they?
  5. nope i saw TONY STARKS!!! aka raekwon the chef!!! jus blaze and maseo from de la dj'ed as well... seen hollertronix like 16 million times between ny and philly... the LRG party was ridiculous, some heads i know who couldn't get in checked out the 555 soul party they said it was ok... Quoted post bro.. Tony Starks is Ghostface, not Rae.
  6. What did you want to know Raven? PM me... I really just hate discussing stuff like this on a Messege board.
  7. Did i go above a 5th grade level? what's the prob boss?
  8. Excuse the randomness of this but It just popped into my head. Growing up in BK I remember seeing MADR tags all over the train lines. Infact if you take the N, M or D trains way towards bensonhurst/coney isle you'll still see some of his larger pieces still intact. Most of his work was really simple clean single lines that took up large areas of wall space. I think there were even a few block letter tags up as well on the N line. My memory is a little splotchy but I think he was active in the early to mid 90s... maybe even as early as the very late 80s, but i'm not 100%. I know I haven't seen a recent piece of his past 2000. Anyway, he has always been one of my favorite artists and I've never found any info about him or any images of his work online. And the only people who I mention him to who remember him are heads who grew up in either New Utrecht, Bensonhurst, Gravesend and Coney Isle. I was just wondering if he was still active, if anybody had a gallery of his work anywhere online, if he ever spread out beyond south brooklyn, or i guess any info on him at all.
  9. hard to say if they're really sold out when Supreme and Rival are the only two stores to ever confirm getting them and selling them. whatever happened to KCDC's pairs? whatever happened to Nort's pairs? whatever happened to the Reed Space's pairs? How come Colette in paris has these for sale? hmmmmm? Never heard a single person mention getting theirs at any of the above spots, funny cnsidering they were supposed to drop there. It's one thing to limit a dunk, cause hype and create a re-sale market. But it's another thing when most of the pairs for a dunk are seemingly backdoored to re-sellers/other shops! That's sadder than most of them going to re-sellers who camp out for them, at least there's some dedication and effort on the re-sellers part with that! anyway, you'd seriously drop a G on those Pigeons raven?
  10. Raven, I'm pretty sure the linbe is financed by Supreme and Union or whatever parent companies they have. It's his gig, but I think he just does the creative end. also the website you posted doesn't work... the only site i ever knew for them is http://www.anything.splay.com
  11. I too love there stuff! I really just wish they didn't use american apparel tees to print on! oh well
  12. Pretty much... they fall under that rather large (and still growing) umbrella. But they always have a few hot shirts each season, but a few duds as well. Still one of my faves though!
  13. hahaha! i wonder when people will stop paying to have Alife laugh at you? I'm also curious what girls would rock these? I mean outside of Brooklyn Guidettes under a Juicy Couture velour hoodie. But these are marketed to girls who frequent Alife, which is a very low number. Or to the Girlfriends of guys who frequent Alife, Supreme, etc, etc! Usually those girls have waaaaay more style and sense to not even wnat to be caught dead in these! The girls who even know what Alife is or supreme I'm sure never rocked sparkly "princess" or "Bad Girl" tee... so why would they rock these? throw these on 86th in Bensonhurst or Bay Ridgeand they'll fly off the shelfs!
