i remember about five or six years ago there was a website that had the top 10 most wanted graff writers in SF. i think it was something chuck had running. does anyone know if this site or anything comparable is still up? if so, whats the address? thanks.

i heard some shit like that too. also heard he (or one of the "he's") is a school teacher... either way, one man or many he's got the ultimate in fresh.

oh do i know it. i wasnt really asking if they had them there...but since we're on the subject, do you know of anyother stores that carry them in the city? i went in there a few days back and they just laughed at me when i asked if they had run out (they werent in the normal place) and i was even gonna break bread for them!

on the subject of griffin: all y'all need to stop raggin on the griff. now i admit that it isnt super great ink, but it flows like magic threw Zig pens, drips like a horny bitch and sometimes the spreading looks sick as fuck. plus, for us poor writers its the best thing we can get. all that internet ordering just doesnt happen when youre jobless in a city that has one of the highest costs of living in the world. it really doesnt matter when everything gets painted over anyhow in a matter of weeks (if youre lucky). and alphredrock: props on the e-z-squeezies. definitely one of my favorite tools also. Flax, much?

i know a cat who got sent to a work camp for quite a long time. here graff is not looked upon too kindly, but jail time is WAY rare. usually it ends up that you have to do community service (generally buffing graff, which in a way is cool cos they take you to spots you may not have known existed).

i said way less than 1/3 thinner to paint. so yes, youre right. a third is too much. i know thats vague, but its because all of my mixtures are slight approximations. also ive found it varies depending on the brand of thinner, paint (even though you should just be using rusto), etc.
-
i guess you missed the part about needing cheap materials. im not like you, i dont have a job that affords me the luxury of mail ordering primo shit.
-
its really pretty easy. i dont have exact numbers but if you want it opaque use less than 1/3 thinner (by less i mean way less) to paint and gradually add more thinner till you get it a consistency you like.

) hmmm. this wasnt about permanency; sometimes i think its cool to get away from that...i just wanted to make pretty colors for as cheap as possible...as for using bucket paint i have been having the shittiest time finding face paint markers (my spot stopped carrying them cos they all went missing:confused: ) and kiwi's aint my bag so im stuck with gluemarkers, which isnt all bad at all. especially since i found a spot that no one even knows about.

I'M REALLY SORRY im really sorry if this has been asked and/or answered...im pretty sure it has, but i really tried to dig through all them old poasts and couldnt find it. really. i did. while tinting white griffin (marsh is much too pricey and the whole buying things over the internet freaks me out) what is the best type of paint/dye to use? basically, is griffin alcohol based or otherwise? i also need to know so i can thin it with the proper thinning agent and not seperate the components. i really appreciate folks puttin up with a question that very well could have been asked already. i wont do it again. promise.

in regards to alphredrock's question about muni panels and garvey: stains the FUCK outta them. leaves a way more colorful and visible ghost than anyother ink ive come across. omen...in SF they never give up on trying to buff them panels. its really just an excercise in futility on the MTAs part. oh and alphredrock...way to be a man and squash stupid internet beef. seriously. props. :lick:

yo omen, i try to keep pretty quiet on these boards cos i know graff transcends the internet, but an old NY saying for that mess talking kid:snitches and shittalkers get stiches and need walkers. word. anyone who poasts BST shit trying to be hard is a fool.

looks to me like one of them face paint markers or some such shit. you know, maybe one of those washable car markers (obviously its been refilled). or maybe just a cutty home made.
-
man, i never liked ultras or minis...i guess the handstyles ive developed just dont go with them...but i do love what other people put up while using them. they can be super fun if youre in a fan kinda mood but i always fucked up the nibs whenever i was trying to hit up anything other than panels or other supersmooth surfaces. i also jock drips hard so they were never quite juicy enough for me.

ahh. understood. but does that actually work? what does it do? just prevent the paint from going over it? not that i want to stand around smearing vaseline everytime i hit up...
