Haven't been here in a long while. I used to post some things in the Daily Sketch Thread, mostly horses. Anyway, in my hiatus I've been exploring sculpture. This is the first piece I've done from scratch, very loosely based on my sketch below. I ended up casting it in urethane resin & selling out an edition of 19, I'm still dissatisfied with the hair. If anyone's curious as to the molding & casting process, I documented most of the basic stages, as I had some on another forum express interest in the workings Sorry for shit pictures - sketch - I told you that to ask you this - anyone else sculpt or work in 3D?

Taake - 'September Omsider'

Couple things I'm working on, first two are sell-out shit I'll hopefully get rid of at a farm open house: detail; oil pastel on canvasboard, 4x6" ETA: don't EVER use oil pastels on canvas.. it's a gigantic pain in the ass, as common logic would dictate colored pencil on an ACEO card, 2.5x4" acrylic + colored pencil on ACEO card, 2.5x4" ink on a 2" square scrap of art paper, actual size is exactly 1/4 of this picture Crits welcome, especially on the flowerpot thing, I've no set idea about the background, as usual.

Dunno if I posted these or not - Hella fun with this one: started with colored pencil & graphite only, then ink, powdered pigment, acrylic, and waste toner for color. Not done yet, thinking about adding some rain. wish I could draw this cohesively on a regular basis. Naturally it happened on the wrong type of paper
