  1. Yea, whatever you mix with metallics will just look like .... metallic blue, metallic green, metallic etc, etc... for the most part. But thats cool though.
  2. where the nib is at the top of the marker, its a different color casing to the rest of the marker right ? well pull that thing off .. it should work on all sharpies Quoted post [/b] Yo, you could just get yourself one of those smaller pilots. and you can re-use pilots forever...almost. Unscrews real easy. I dont know bout sharpies. I just glanced at one right now and couldnt pull the top off to save my friggin life. good luck with that.
  3. I remember discovering shoe dye in about '84' or '85'. I never even used to put it into anything. The shit came with a stick connected to the cap that had a felt tip on it (kind of like a cotton ball)..... It was smooth writing and dripped like crazy. Easy. No pouring. No mixing. No hassle.
  4. I was making ink/mops from rusto bucket paint and thinner back in '89'. Along with dozens of other techniques me and my partners came up with. Now days writers be gettin creative with creating new colors and styles but...... before name brands like KRINK and others were founded let us not forget... Old school cats from the train days use to get down with the home made markers. Thats original.
  5. The dye itself should be good to go. You should be able to pou that shit into any container with a felt tip and it should work wonders..... I think it would be safe to assume that rusto bucket paint thinned out really thin might work with a pilot. This is only my assumption. I never tried it. I think you would have to mess with it for a while like...... until all the previous ink was completely washed out with the silver paint flow... which, now that I think about it is probably a waste of time. But heres an idea for you. Goto a couple of craft/art stores until you find "POSTER MARKERS"; thats the name of them, they coime in several colors. and tehy look about the size of magnums but..... The tip is clean until you press and soak the ink through...just like paint markers. PLUS THEY ARE REALLY EASY TO TAKE APART AND PUT BACK TOGETHER. YOU CAN FILL THE ENTIRE CASING WITH THE INK AND JUICE UP THE TIP AS YOU WISH. TRY IT.
  6. I would hit up any art supply store or craft store. You can get pretty much whatever you need there. But my preference are dyes from my experiences. i used to make alot of mops but even more I used to refill my pilots til they dripped and carry em felt tip up (so I didnt get drip marks on my clothes). Just pour some shoe dye in your pilot, works great. If you really want to make something. Get rusto silver bucket paint and thin it out with thinner (however thin you want it; the thinner the paint the faster the flow). All them other ingredients mentioned is ok but really what makes it work is the paint and the thinner. With this alone you will make a mark. How nice that mark looks is up to you. main objective, get that ink on the wall as fast as you can and make more.
  7. The studdering chinese man routine he used to do was off the hook. If you ever get a chance to listen to it, do so... very very funny.

    Yard Safety

Good info... Funny. I been hittin up freights lately on a regular and alot of these things is just stuff you know by instincts; just from hangin around the yards a couple of times. Its actually weird seeing it being explained in words. If youre hittin enough freights on a regular, you can not prevent the inevitable... You gonna be seen at some point. But for the most part I 99% of the time stay away from anything that breathes and bleeds like me. 150% of the time I get right to business as soon as I step into the yards so if all of a sudden theres another person around...theres a good chance they caught a glimpse. I never stick around to find out. Just this past weekend, I had to climb a steep ass hill and run through thorn bushes, ankle deep in snow, with a camcorder and mad paint. But at the moment, in my current situation, I cant afford to have any type of encounters with any law enforcement. So Im definately running. KGB Government
