  1. Why do need prores? What program are you editing in? If you're just converting a raw file to post as is I wouldn't export as prores. Something like H.264 should be fine for posting online somewhere. If you're editing, your program should have a converter bundled with the software. But again prores takes up a good amount of space, I'd use a low res DV file.
  2. I live in Adams Morgan and just went through trying to find housing. It's a bitch. Adams Morgan is great, but you'd probably need to find roommates because so much of it is row houses. Which is a lot of DC, actually. But I would try H St NE (it gets less grimey headed south toward stanton square), Petworth, Ledroit park, Along first st NW (I forget What that neighborhood is called, Truxton circle?), and maybe Columbia heights but that's getting expensive too.
  3. Had this the other day: It was pretty damn good. Nice and crisp with a slight roasted taste on the finish. Not too carbonated and very easy to drink. It was a little expensive, but definitely worth a try.
  4. I started with a couple Brewers Best kits. A pale ale and a blond I think. They both turned out pretty good considering they were my first brews. A triple might be a little trickier, but those kits are basic and come with pretty good instructions. I've been slacking on brewing in the last few months. I'm thinking of a wit for the summer, but I better get on it soon.
  5. The usual Boston dude... talk shit, but don't do shit. Still funny though.
  6. Ice skating, hot chocolate, then take her to a good restaurant. Girls love stupid shit like that. Then, of course, anal fun day.
  7. I had this last night. It was Surprisingly good. A pretty mellow stout and not too much pumpkin or spice at all. I couldn't really taste the spice after the first couple sips. Pretty easy to drink. I would definitely recommend it. Tonight I'm having some Stone Ruination. I love Stone so I'm looking forward to it.
  8. This stuff is awesome. I don't like the super spiced up pumpkin ales, this one isn't too strong. Organic seems to make sense with pumpkin ale too. I also tried Buffalo Bill's pumpkin the other day which was ok. A little too sweet for my tastes.
  9. Has anyone tried any of the GPS navigator apps? Worth it? I need GPS for work sometimes and I hate google maps, but I don't like paying for things either.
  10. Scotch Ale is fairly dark and really malty. Kind of sweet malt flavor with some roasted crystal/caramel malt flavor. It isn't very hoppy, but there is a little hop bite at the end, the kind of thing you feel in the back of your throat. No homo. It's also called wee heavy.
  11. When Gwildor says "Many blessings upon you" it sounds exactly like "Many pussies upon you." Good journey.
  12. He's right, martinis are made with gin. Vodka martini is kind of a misnomer, also without vermouth it's not a martini, it's vodka with olive juice. Speaking of olives, if you like the bleu cheese ones try the jalapeno stuffed ones. They are awesome in martinis.
  13. If this doesn't make you want to vote for McCain I don't know what will: http://wonkette.com/370922/raining-fury-on-john-mccain /No Republican.
  14. Hieronymus Bosch This one is too big to post here, so here's a link: http://http://home.actlab.utexas.edu/~litlgirlblue/SoundClass/Bosch.gif These need to be seen in person. The detail is ridiculous.
  15. I'm sure these aren't new to anyone, but I've always been a fan of these two: Francis Bacon (I couldn't find any of the more recent tripychs, check those out if you can)
