  3. where im from, we like to lock up our illegal immigrants, men women and children, for several years in the desert, treat them like animals, ignore the fact that they're suffering from mental health issues which we will eventually have to compensate, and recently its been discovered that the system is so screwed that we deported a legal citizen to the philipines a few years ago, and jailed another citizen for a few months for no reason at all apart from the fact her name wasnt mrs. smith. and there are probably another 200 or so cases of wrongful imprisonment yet to be discovered.
  4. ferm: if you've got that tom waits up already im keen. i changed my mind, but dont go to any trouble if its too hard/annoying. im a fan of intimate gigs since jeff buckley's 'live at sine-e' beardo: ditto, hook that genesis my way if that's all good. can't get enough of 'against all odds' as sappy as it is. the postal service did an odd cover of it. any of you ever get into 'you am i' in the states? if you did... the j-file is basically a run through of their career highlights etc. from a radio station. peace.
  5. snails french style, tasted like msuhrooms crocodile, tasted like tough fish...may well have been tough fish kangaroo when chargrilled medium-rare is bliss
  6. It ain't great, but it's decent enough to listen to. Keep in mind that it was recorded in 1973. It's just Waits and his piano and he talks a lot to the crowd and tells a couple of stories. It's worth listening to if you're into Tom Waits and want to hear what his shows were like at the beginning of his career when he was still playing tiny clubs and didn't have a band. Plus the rendition of "Better Off Without a Wife", "Ice Cream Man", and "The Heart of Saturday Night are devastating. Quoted post [/b] hmm...i'll pass. my old man bought 'real gone' a couple of weeks back. it scares the crap out of me. reminds me of animals getting slaughtered while they're beatboxing. its good though. ho hum
