Fat Ralphy checking in here folks..... I intend to use this thread to document and motivate my efforts for health and fitness. My hopes are that putting myself out there and being accountable to the forum will help me stay on point. Over the last two years I have packed on approx. 50 lbs - stress and injuries have made it hard to get on track. My plan is as follows - get my eating in check, post my meals here and document meal prep. Increase my activity - I currently train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a few times a week but I want to add some lifting, biking, swimming and cardio. Today i weighed in at 305 lbs - my goal weight …

So I decided after 22 yrs in the nail industry-I was fed up with people and knew my brain was not getting used as much as I knew it was capable of so I went home ‘sick’ early from the shop and attended the home and garden show where I saw a cool display which lead me to grab a brochure. I looked into this ‘training center’ and read it was free (like legit no cost) and set the appt up for the beginning stages of several interviews and testing process to enroll. I missed the cut off of the class(20 per class) they were getting ready to begin and had to wait until the next session which began the end of January. A seven month class with a four externship after to complete t…

any thoughts on what constitutes having a drinking problem? i binge drink alot, and find that after three beers i crave more and more, so normally if i know i can only have one beer, i wont even drink it, cuz it will just make me feel like shit. I dont put alcohol ahead of my responsiblities like work or school, and i refuse to drink when the sun is out, unless i'm at like a BBQ or something. But i find myself drinking alot more regularly, out of the past 5 days i drank everyday, and got drunk 4 out of the 5.

I know there's been a lot of self help type threads, past and present. Seems to be particularly prevalent now, presumably because we're all older and entrenched in real life, many years past that enthusiasm of youth and the outlook that comes with it of having the bulk of your life in front of you. Or maybe it's just me and where I'm at with my own life, but I have taken note of some of the more mature threads (at least by 12oz standards) as well as the fact that it's been a thing for ages where 12oz members help other 12oz members that are going through some shit. It hit me like a ton of bricks to learn that during the dark ages of 12oz, when only a handful of people wer…

so i decided to like start a thread dedicated to your dedication on working out or whatever workout cardio crap lipo suction u might be doing. maybe this can be a thread so people can ask stupid questions about how to not be so fat as well. also this could be a thread where you fags post some workout routines you might think are great, for building mas or getting tone. etc etc so any who this would be my weekly workout i'm still a light weight so i wont ridicule myself by posting how much weight im pushing. 20 minute cardio every work out day 1 squats (gluts)(hamstrings)(quads) front leg lifts (gluts)(quads) leg extensions ba…

Alright guys, I'm sure we have a cooking thread somewhere, or maybe even a bbq thread somewhere.... but it's 2019, almost 2020 and it's time for something fresh. Please share your favorite places to get bbq and/or other types of meats. Whether it's a butcher shop you love, a local hole in the wall food joint you love, or a product you can buy at your local store. @Fist 666mentioned he liked Texas Pete bbq sauce in another thread, and @Hua Guofanghad some experiences here in Austin, TX to speak about. Recently, @Kultswas telling me about the Portuguese chicken that is common in his area, I had never heard of it. I'd love to hear any drunk stories…

I know at least a couple of you on this board have busted a knuckle or two fixing that POS beater or a building something cool in your garage @Dirty_habiTI'm lookin in your direction. Post some photos or share some knowledge this isn't a vehicle specific thread just a place to share those money pits. The photo below is the small block ford 302 that a friend of mine helped build for my hot rod. It took about a year and a half to get it running and about another 6 months to work out the kinks. That car and I have traveled about 6000 miles in the last 2.5 years.

YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Gold is off the charts right now. It's about to hit a G. I kick myself in the ass for not backing the truck up to the gold factory back in '04. I watch the prices of Gold everyday hoping for it to take a dive so I can jump in and buy up a gang of ounces, but it keeps climbing. (probably the wrong forum for this , but) Anyone else know any good investments?

Storing your Kerry’s Gold butter correctly will help keep it extra-fresh for as long as possible. To achieve this, the key is to minimize contact with air and moisture. For example, try wrapping it tightly in heavy duty foil or plastic wrap - this helps to ensure that any odors and flavors from your fridge don't transfer onto the butter. Alternatively, you could even place the butter in a small air-tight glass container. Be sure to always store it in the coldest part of your refrigerator; otherwise, it may begin to soften and go off before its recommended expiration date. With these few steps, you can keep your Kerry’s Gold butter happily shelf-stable longer! T…

Hi all, I need your assistance in confirming our pool installation. We currently have a small pool in our backyard. I also desired to incorporate that pool into the new one. Many companies have been mentioned to me, and I am still researching them. My friends all recommend a company called Tits in Pools. Is anyone familiar with this company and willing to share their knowledge? Thanks in Advance.

Ok guize here goes....I ran a search and only came up with the crypto thread. Some of the guys I work with are into the stock market and some of them are capitalizing pretty well...... I have had a surplus of cash just sitting in a bank account without any real great interest etc. I figured I could get into some stocks and hopefully profit majorly stack paper and get that cheesy guacamole ya smell me. Perfect example - I was told in April 2020 to buy some NIO stock which was at apprx. $2.10 and sits today at $57+. Obviously I regret sleeping on that and hope to find a similar investment. Starting off small with $2500 in a…

Post 'em... I don't care if there's a 5 year old 600 page thread on the subject already. It's 2017. I've got two bikes, both BMX. I will post them soon when I can get you all some sweet pix with my iphone. I'd like to one day get into downhill mt. biking but my propensity to steer myself from mediocrity puts the bike I'd want in the 5-8k dollar price range. I won't buy something that's "ok" to get by for now until I can get something better. If you don't want to post your bike, lets hear some of your cycling stories, I know there's a lot of people on this site that bike.

With the rise of ciders in the last ten years I suspect more and more people partake in drinking them, and probably have a favorite. I've been drinking hard ciders since the 80s, back when Strongbow and Hornsby's were the only ones you could find... IF you could find them. My absolute all-time favorite cider has to be ANVIL from Sonoma Cider, which shut down operations about a year ago after losing funding. Bummed... me... out. Recently I came upon the mother-load and bought the store out of all they had - Twelve 22oz bottles. Special occasion shit, for real. I'm also a fan of Thistly Cross Whisky Cask But my…

Hopefully someone else here has a drawing or coloring habit. I recently decided to start coloring and drawing again as a hobby with being quarantined and all, oh covid. Thought it would be nice to share some new simple things I have picked up that have worked out very impressively for me, and see if anyone else has found anything worth looking into. My most recent purchase I was thoroughly impressed with was this set of gel pens. Found it quite amusing that these have come back to be popular after all these years, as I used them in elementary school and then they died off. Either way found these on Amazon and listening to some reviews taking a chance, very hap…

I got interested in this a few years ago when my wife’s grandmother was diagnosed with liver cancer. The treatment she was receiving wasn’t really doing a whole lot so we started making THC infused honey for her to consume I’m conjunction with her treatment. Mysteriously a few months later they couldn’t find cancer in her liver anymore. I think it traveled to her lungs or possibly even started in her lungs. once that was discovered they put her on a different treatment and she is now in complete remission/cancer free. I can’t help but think our medicine played a small part in killing the cancer in her liver seeing as how her initial treatment wasn’t doing any…

Ok so, I am kinda (well aktchoo-ull-ie) flirting with a sista and she is ok with it to point she knows I am interested in her by giving me signs that she is interested in me as well by welcoming my advances. My thing is that I have never dated a black women (had the opportunity years ago with another sista) before and I am curious to know if anyone of you Oontzers have dated out side your race? I have dated an Asian and Puerto Rican but never a black woman. Anyhow, this week I plan to take it a step further and exchange numbers so we can spend time together. Any experiences yinz could share that I may be oblivious to?

When a New York Times Bestselling Author like Jared Diamond writes a book like Collapse about the rise and fall of advance civilizations, you tend to think there is a grave concern widespread among literate and informed americans about the sustainability of our way of life. I've been into survivalism and studying it for most of my adult, teenage and adolescent life. Call it a hunch, paranoia, or obsession predicated upon the fact that my very existence is somehow intertwined with an apocalyptic scenario (long story). Anyways, after reading this fromthewilderness article on Petrocollapse and a scaricity of clean water, I figured it's about time that I create a threa…

I was hoping this would be a place that we can seek professional input from one another. There are plenty of talented people here and we can use our community to help each other. Bounce estimates around to see if costs are reasonable, help with DIY projects, real life connections if doable - basically a place to seek and share professional input or collaboration. For example: @Mercer - you work as an electrician, right? Yesterday I was upgrading the security light on my front porch. I switched off the breaker but it still seemed like I got a small shock when I came in contact with the black wire. Is ther…

Breaking can be seen as one of those events. Climbing, skateboarding and surfing also added. it’s cool they are leaving towards sports that are fun and lighthearted, instead of combat sports.

I'll keep the introduction to this topic short and simple. So you wanna start making your own cleaning detergents, or learn a new washing regimen to keep your Garments, Rugs, and other textiles 'Dope Fresh' and preserve the shape and color? I hope this topic can help you. So basically to start this off and hope I do not turn this into an on going Chop Suey intro. I like to keep my white tees "bright white" as "they" say and in the same or near the state of condition at the time of purchase. And that pretty much goes for all of my clothes and shoes, I like my stuff clean and fresh as so it appears to be brand new. One of the things that help me in achieving …

Hello fellow amateur marine biologists. I'm starting this discussion today to teach you guys and girls how you, too, can have the beauty of ocean life in your home. We will go over the equipment needed, some common terms, some warnings, and some best practices. Let's get right into it. Common terms: DT/Display Tank - This is your living masterpiece that you put on the wall where most people would put their big screen tv. This is where you keep your best corals and your best fish. This is where you build an amazing aquascape. QT/Quarantine Tank - Think of this like your fish hospital or the holding cell for fish/corals before they go to the b…

With marriage being the leading cause of divorce, I find myself living outdoors for the 1st time in 10 years and thus free to indulge in midlife crisis. Though culinary arts (Home Ec) is still largely offered in high school and despite the ability to cook being a life skill, it's amazing to see how few people really know how to cook / bake. Granted, as a kid I had pretty limited tastes, had a mom that was always whipping stuff up (whether you were hungry or not) and had no interest in the subject, I've definitely found myself appreciating it more as an adult. When living in NYC, it was tough to get into since it was (ironically) often more expensive to shop and cook a meal at home than even a decent restaurant. Out where I live now, quality meat is crazy cheap as are most produce and groceries. Still can be a little costl…
